What supplies do I need?
This class is designed with the absolute newbie in mind. If you are just starting your watercolor journey and have no idea what paint or brushes to buy, watch the first half of the class without any supplies.
I go over a lot of supplies, and you can make your decision for what you'd like to work with later.
But if you fell like you need to start somewhere, get any kind of watercolors, and a small round brush.
BRUSHES
There are sooo many brushes out there, which one should you get for lettering? I’ll teach you what to look for in an ideal brush and do a little comparison between different brushes.
PAPER
Cold press, hot press, sized, cotton, 300 gsm, copy paper or multimedia? The choices are endless. I’ll help you navigate the tricky world of paper so you can start learning the lettering without any of the fuss.
PAINT
Tube, pan, or liquid? Which one is ideal for your specific needs and is it really worth buying the expensive brands?
BASICS OF LETTERING
I won’t leave you hanging. You will learn the basics of brush lettering in this class. I’ll show you all the basic strokes you need to learn, one by one, and some other fun exercises to practice.

Will I learn how to letter from this course?
Not really. This class with teach you basic strokes of letters and provide some worksheets, but the main lessons of this class are designed to teach about watercolor, brushes, paper, and how to use watercolor. I have another course for beginners in hand lettering The Lettering Course.
When does the course start and finish?
It’s a self-paced class. You can start right away and finish whenever you want. Come back to it when you feel like you need a reminder.
How long do I have access?
You have unlimited access for 1 year after purchase. You may not download the videos due to internet piracy, but any documents and worksheets are downloadable.
Do I need the internet to take this class?
Yes, you will need high-speed internet to view this class online, and especially if you wish to download the videos. After downloading them through Teachable you can enjoy them without being connected.
Is there an online community for students?
At this time there is no online community, but you keep checking and sign up for my newsletter, and I’ll let you know if I ever create one.
